Welcome to our volunteer sign-up page!
Thanks for your interest in volunteering with Science ATL. Your service and support builds community through science and inspires the next generation of STEM leaders. Our volunteer opportunities include skills-based and non skills-based roles that bring together members of our community who love to share their passion for STEM. Below is a brief description of our upcoming events.
- Discovery Walks! These guided tours winding through local neighborhoods and trails reveal the everyday science all around us. Enjoy a nice morning or afternoon walk, while also supporting our tour guide in leading a group of curious youth and adults along a 1-2 mile walk.
- Nature Navigators is our outdoor hiking series led by an expert naturalist guiding groups on 2-3 mile hikes through hidden forest, winding rivers and creeks, and beautiful nature surrounding metro Atlanta. Help our guide lead groups of youth and adults on 2-3 mile hikes while also learning about the science and nature around us.
- Earth Day Bike-in movie is back again at the Piedmont Park. In partnership with Piedmont Park Conservancy, join us for a special Earth-day screening of The Lorax, "the grumpy, yet charming creature who fights to protect his world." For this family-friendly event, volunteers will help greet guests, wayfind, and enjoy the evening's screening!
- Support our partner K-12 schools with science fair judging, mentoring, and/or STEM fair events. These projects are led by our school district partners. After your sign up, you will be introduced to the school's main point of contact and a link to complete your registration for their event. We have a current opportunity at South Atlanta High School to assist with the Atlanta Public Schools' Cluster STEM Fair!
